The GWO Advanced Rescue Refresher – Nacelle, Tower and Basement module focuses on refreshing advanced rescue competencies within the main wind turbine structure.
Participants review and practise rescue techniques through theory updates and practical exercises, ensuring continued ability to safely extract injured persons from nacelles, towers, basements, crawl spaces, and enclosed areas.
The training emphasizes correct rescue strategies, equipment use, and safe evacuation methods in line with current GWO standards.
Key Skills Include:
Refreshing rescue techniques from nacelles, towers, basements, and confined spaces
Reassessing evacuation strategies based on casualty condition and turbine layout
Reapplying vertical and horizontal evacuation methods
Reviewing correct use and inspection of rescue and evacuation equipment
Reinforcing communication, human factors, dropped object prevention, and team coordination
This refresher module is essential for maintaining readiness and compliance for personnel responsible for advanced rescue operations within the wind turbine structure.
Valid GWO ART-N Advanced Rescue Training, GWO BST Working at Heights, GWO BST First aid, and GWO BST Manual Handling module WINDA records are prerequisites for participation.
Participants completing GWO ART-NR Advanced Rescue Training, will also have receive the GWO MH Manual Handling and GWO WAH Working at Heights modules.
