PPE Inspector Training
(Inspection of Personal Protective Equipment for Work at Height)

This specialized training prepares competent persons responsible for the inspection and maintenance of personal protective equipment used for fall protection and work at height.

According to European standards, PPE used for fall protection must undergo periodic inspection by a qualified and competent person. This course provides the technical knowledge required to perform these inspections in accordance with applicable standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Participants gain the knowledge necessary to evaluate the condition, safety, and usability of fall protection equipment used in professional environments.

The training covers:

  • Legal requirements and standards for PPE inspection

  • Responsibilities of the competent inspection technician

  • Types and categories of fall protection equipment

  • Identification of wear, damage, and product defects

  • Inspection procedures for harnesses, lanyards, connectors and ropes

  • Inspection of fall arrest systems and anchor devices

  • Documentation and record keeping for PPE inspections

  • Equipment retirement criteria and lifecycle management

Practical exercises include hands-on inspection of various types of PPE used in work-at-height environments.
