GWO Enhanced First Aid Refresher

The GWO Enhanced First Aid Refresher module is designed to refresh and reinforce previously acquired Enhanced First Aid knowledge and skills, ensuring participants remain competent and confident in managing medical emergencies within the wind industry.

Through focused theory reviews and intensive scenario-based practical exercises, participants revisit critical first aid principles, update their understanding of current guidelines, and practise effective casualty care in realistic wind turbine and remote-area scenarios.

Key skills include:

  • Reassessing and applying primary and secondary survey techniques

  • Refreshing lifesaving skills such as CPR, bleeding control, and airway management

  • Managing incidents and casualties safely in remote and confined environments

  • Using advanced first aid equipment and medical teleconsultation effectively

  • Maintaining situational awareness, communication, and human factor management under pressure

This module is essential for certified Enhanced First Aiders who are required to maintain competence and certification to continue performing first aid responsibilities in wind turbine environments.

Duration: 14 hours (2 days)

Validity: 2 years

The participant will receive following modules in his WINDA training record: FA, EFA
Valid GWO EFA Enhanced First Aid module WINDA record is a prerequisites for participation.
