GWO Advanced Rescue Training – Nacelle, Tower & Basement (ART-N)

The GWO Advanced Rescue Training – Nacelle, Tower and Basement module focuses on advanced rescue operations within the main structure of the wind turbine.
 
Participants gain the skills to rescue injured persons from nacelles, towers, basements, crawl spaces, and enclosed areas through a combination of theory, practical exercises, and realistic rescue scenarios.

Key skills include:

  • Performing rescues from nacelles, towers, basements, and confined spaces

  • Evacuating injured persons vertically and horizontally inside the turbine

  • Safely rigging rescue systems for lowering and raising casualties

  • Managing evacuation strategies based on injury, environment, and turbine layout

  • Applying dropped object prevention, communication, and team coordination during rescue

This module is critical for personnel responsible for emergency response and rescue preparedness within the wind turbine structure.

Duration: 14.5 hours (2 days)

Valid GWO BST Working at Heights, GWO BST First aid, and GWO BST Manual Handling module WINDA records are prerequisites for participation.
