GWO Advanced Rescue Refresher – Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade (ART-HR)

The GWO Advanced Rescue Refresher – Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade module is designed to refresh and reinforce previously acquired advanced rescue knowledge and practical skills.
Through targeted theory review and realistic hands-on rescue scenarios, participants revisit safe and effective rescue techniques for evacuating injured persons from the hub, spinner, and inside blade areas of a wind turbine.

This refresher training ensures participants remain competent, confident, and compliant when responding to emergency situations in confined and complex turbine environments.

Key skills include:

  • Reviewing rescue planning and decision-making in hub and blade environments

  • Refreshing casualty handling, packaging, and evacuation techniques

  • Reapplying safe rigging of lowering and raising rescue systems

  • Reinforcing head support, casualty protection, and communication during rescue

  • Maintaining safe working practices, human factors awareness, and team coordination

This refresher module is required to maintain valid GWO Advanced Rescue certification for personnel working in hub and blade environments.

Duration: 7.5 hours (1 day)

Valid GWO ART-H Advanced Rescue Training, GWO BST Working at Heights, GWO BST First aid, and GWO BST Manual Handling module WINDA records are prerequisites for participation.
