GWO Advanced Rescue Training - Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade (ART-H)

The GWO Advanced Rescue Training – Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade module is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out rescue operations in some of the most confined and complex areas of a wind turbine.
Through realistic theory and hands-on rescue scenarios, participants learn how to safely assess situations, plan rescue strategies, and evacuate injured colleagues from the hub, spinner, and inside the blade using industry-standard rescue equipment.

Key skills include:

  • Planning and coordinating rescue operations in the hub, spinner, and blade

  • Safely packaging and evacuating injured persons from confined spaces

  • Rigging and operating lowering and raising rescue systems

  • Managing head support and casualty protection during rescue

  • Applying safe working practices, communication, and human factors under pressure

This module is essential for technicians working in turbine hub and blade environments where advanced rescue preparedness is required.

Duration: 7.5 hours (1 day)

Valid GWO BST Working at Heights, GWO BST First aid, and GWO BST Manual Handling module WINDA records are prerequisites for participation.
